Waikato District Council is carrying out road repairs on the eastern side of the one-way bridge across the Opotoru Estuary on Wainui Road, Raglan, next Thursday night and Friday.(7th and 8th May).
Stop/go traffic management will be in place between:
- Thursday 7 May between 8pm and 6am (overnight)
- Friday 8 May, from 9.10am (after school traffic has cleared) for approximately two and half hours.
What this means for road users
- Expect delays of five minutes during the works
- After sealing, there may be loose chip on the road surface. Please drive slowly, obey temporary speed limits, and follow all signage and directions from traffic controllers.
We’re carrying out the road repairs overnight to minimise disruption during the day, and so we can carry out the work safely and more efficiently. Sealing works, which need to be done during the day, will take place on Friday morning.
