Road users travelling on State Highway 23 (SH23) towards Raglan are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey, with delays occurring at the Greenslade Road works. In addition there will be more traffic on the road due to Labour Weekend visitors, the Raglan Arts Weekend and the Raglan Country & Blues Festival.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is currently carrying out road rebuilding work on SH23 near Greenslade Road with stop/go traffic management in place and a temporary speed limit of 30km/h.
With increased traffic heading towards Raglan ahead of the long weekend, the team is monitoring the site and adjusting traffic management as required to help keep vehicles moving.
Please be patient, follow the directions of traffic management staff and adhere to the temporary speed limit through the worksite.
NZTA thanks road users for their patience while this important road rebuilding work is underway.
Plan ahead and check Journey Planner for the latest travel information before you leave.
