RATS in the Town Hall

Curtain call for How The Rhino Got It's Skin

Raglan Amateur Theatre Society presented a broad range of live theatre on Friday and Saturday in the Raglan Town Hall. The performance got underway with a banter between Margot (Athene Jensen), Bob (Jon Berczely) and Cecil (Roslyn Miles) and this started up again during each scene change. First up was an excellent performance by Polly Shepherd’s Dramatrix class, of How The Rhino Got It’s Skin adapted from the story by Rudyard Kipling. This was followed by a one man (Colin Hodkinson) satire on corporate team building.
After the intermission, an original work by Rennee Boyer-Willison was delivered well by Matthias Goed.

And next up it was Chook Chook exploring the lives of four battery hens (Kaz Tribe, Renee Boyer-Willisson, Lindsay Turner and Colette McEnery-Lane). In the startling finale, the chooks shed their white feathers and emerged as nightclub dancers.
