Raglan wastewater outfall working as expected

Introduction
On 9th June 2020, New Zealand Diving and Salvage conducted an inspection of Waikato District Council/ Watercare’s Raglan wastewater outfall. The in-water visibility was 1 – 3 metres at the time of inspection.

Scope of Work

1. Conduct a visual inspection of the outfall with the aid of food-grade dye, reporting any unusual
2. Photograph and video the outfall end.
3. Report on anything out of the ordinary.

Findings
There is heavy mussel growth on the diffuser but these are not obstructing the outflow. Good flow was observed from the diffuser, and no damage was sighted
