June 20: Movie – IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY

IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Amy Berg (DELIVER US FROM EVIL, JANIS: LITTLE GIRL BLUE, WEST OF MEMPHIS), covers the life of the rising young star with an otherworldly voice and boundary-pushing artistry, who left the ’90s music world reeling when he died suddenly, at age 30, after the release of his critically acclaimed debut album “Grace.”

Graeme Tuckett, Waikato Times “Best singer of his generation gets the film he deserves. A great documentary about Jeff Buckley has been a long time coming. But Amy Berg’s It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley is the real deal, and I think it tells the story in the way it needed to be done.”

Jun 21: Movie – FACKHAM HALL

A British Comedy spoof that crosses Downton Abbey with Flying High and Monty Python, Fackham Hall follows lovable pickpocket Eric Noone (Radcliffe) as he lands a job at a unique English manor house. He quickly rises through the ranks, and a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport (McKenzie) blossoms. But when an unexpected murder occurs, Eric gets framed – leaving Rose and her family’s future perilously uncertain.

Guardian Adrian Horton 3/5 Stars. – “This Downton Abbey spoof is fast, funny and throwaway. Period drama parody has some decent and often smart gags and benefits from a game cast including Damian Lewis and Thomasin McKenzie.”
