Feb 7: Local alternative walk planned for Raglan Ramblers

For those Ramblers not going to Rangitoto this Wednesday Tim and Karla are happy to lead a local walk.
They propose meeting in the carpark by the campground then walking up to the Wainui reserve, around the reserve then down to the beach below the surf club and back along the beach. High tide is at 8.59am so by the time we get to the beach it will be going out.
Will probably be back in time to have lunch in town or go home for lunch. Could also bring some if you want to have it by the estuary after a swim.
Please text Karla on 021 2159462 if you are interested in coming on this walk.

There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Most walks start at 9am from the James St/ Wallis St corner near Catholic church.

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
