There was a wastewater spill at Lorenzen Bay, Raglan at 1 pm, Thursday 23rd December. A sewer pipe was blocked by a towel and overflowed on to private property and into a nearby drain to the inner harbour .
The pipe was unblocked and the overflow stopped within an hour of being reported. A sign notifying nearby residents and beach users was erected and will be in place till another 2 tide changes on the afternoon of Friday 24th.
