HAVE YOUR SAY THROUGH COMMUNITY BOARDS
Waikato District’s community boards would like to encourage participation from anyone who has particular issues, ideas or questions about the district or the council.
Raglan residents are reminded that the Raglan Community Board plays a crucial role in representing the interests of their communities to the council.
“Community Boards and community committees form a vital link between the council and the Waikato residents and ratepayers on local issues,” Waikato District Mayor Allan Sanson said.
“Many people believe the only way they can have their say on local issues is to approach the council directly, and we would like to remind them that the community boards and community committees, along with councillors, are there to represent their interests within the district,” Mayor Sanson said.
“With the council’s Long Term Plan about to be released for public consultation, it is timely that people remember that approaching their community representative is another way to be involved in shaping the future of our district.” Mayor Sanson said.
