Sun shines on Raglan

140418GoodFridayWebcam - 600X350Thursday’s storm has well and truly moved on from Raglan and the sun is shining on Good Friday. There may be the odd shower during the day.

Raglan Volunteer Fire Brigade was called out to two storm related incidents on Thursday. One was a house being flooded in Bayview Rd and the other was a roof lifting in Puka Place in the Waikowhai subdivision. Raglan Weather is without its normal wind readings as the storm has put the anemometer out of action. We’ll be replacing the instrument as soon as possible.

There are no severe weather warnings for Raglan on land or in the coastal area. Although at sea conditions are still rough with the MetService Marine forecast for Friday 18th of, Northeast 30 knots, easing to northerly 20 knots this afternoon. Rough sea easing. Northwest swell rising to 4 metres easing.Southwest swell 2 metres easing. Poor visibility in scattered showers, some heavy.
