Today’s snow on the beach at Kopua attracted 400 people. Young and old alike enjoyed the ‘snowfall’ which had been arranged by the Raglan Community House.
In conjunction with snow on the beach, the annual Raglan mid-winter swim took place with many adults and children plunging into the chilly water and swimming out to be first to get the ball. the mid-winter swim was sponsored by Ray White Raglan Real Estate. Chef de Mission Dave Currie gave the word to go and provided a commentary on the action. When the swimmers returned to shore Dave Hanna presented the prizes.
Hot soup was available from the Community House marquee with a sausage sizzle at the Raglan kindergarten gazebo.
