As from Thursday 20th October Raglan now has an i-SITE. The old Raglan Information Centre morphed into a full i-SITE when it relocated to the new Raglan Museum building at 15 Wainui Road. Staff worked frantically on Wednesday t make the move and passing community members were called on to help as needed. Setting up work continued on Thursday and Friday while the i-SITE staff had to also continue looking after tourists and visitors to Raglan. On Friday the i-SITE was still running on temporary phone lines and were waiting for Telecom and Chorus to hook them up to broadband.
The museum remains closed and the date when it will open is not known. It is understood that the Raglan Museum Society is waiting on Waikato District Council to enhance security facilities in the building.
