Whaingaroa Environment Centre is working to improve uptake of insulation grants in our catchment. The connection between warm, dry homes and improved health and economic well-being is well established. We are all aware that many Raglan houses are poorly insulated, if at all. There are many grants available for homeowners and tenants to access insulation, sometimes 100% can be covered by grants.
WEC is currently gathering all the information about insulation subsidies that are available, and who is eligible. We plan to compile this in an easily understood format, and distribute to all interested groups. The information can then be used to assist their clients, patients, whanau and members. In addition to this we will have the information available on our website, and through the Raglan Chronicle.
WEC have compiled this list of names of representatives from medical centres, marae, churches, property managers and other community organisations with an interest in the healthy housing in our community.
If you have someone else in your organisation who you think should be on this list, please let me know. If you wish to be removed from this email group, also, just let me know.
