The body of a 19 year old woman was located by a Coastguard vessel in the sea off Raglan at about 1:20 am on the morning of Friday 19th July. Police and search and rescue volunteers, including coast guard vessels, a search and rescue dog and the Police helicopter had searched for the woman for about five hours after she was reported missing by relatives who had grave concerns for her welfare. Her motorcycle was later found abandoned at Manu Bay near Raglan and in intensive search was commenced. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
