A new footpath and kerb is being laid in Marine Parade.  The new section of footpath is 190 metres in length and runs from Wainui Road to Nihinihi Avenue. Waikato District Council says the project will cost $32,500 and be finished by the end of June.  The footpath was requested several years ago as part of the original Raglan Naturally Plan as it forms part of the popular three bridges walk. Waikato District Council says that footpath has been assessed as a priority using its footpath ranking policy.

Marine Parade residents talking to the contractors undertaking the work have learned that their next project for the contractors is a section of footpath to from the Fire Station car park to the i-SITE and Museum to replace the present mud footpath.

Good to see WDC using ratepayer money on improving pedestrian safety with these new footpaths!
