Raglan 23 asked the Mayoral candidates a few questions and gave them the opportunity to provide further information.

Hi Rodger.
I have lived in Huntly all my life. Married with 3 grown up children. Self Employed, Truck Painter
Community Board 15 years. Last 6 years as chair.
If elected I would make better use of community boards and committees. More discretionary funding and more input from them on local projects. At the moment Ward Councilors have too much say on what goes on in our own communities.
I would demand better accountability from Council Staff.
Only connection with Raglan was childhood holidays fishing off Raglan Wharf and in recent years stop offs at the local Hotel etc.
If elected I would meet informally on a regular basis with Board Chair etc. to discuss any local problems.
I will touch base with you in Raglan in the next week or so.
