The pipe storage, pipe welding, pipe laying, deep excavations and directional drilling promised by contractor Brian Perry Civil at Lorenzen Bay, Sunshine Rise, Lorenzen Bay Road and Cambrae Road has meant that access to Lorenzen Bay beach has been closed off in Lorenzen Bay Road and on the pedestrian access from Cambrae Road.

Limited access for residents is being allowed at times, but there is no vehicle access to the launching ramp.

It is expected that the projects will be completed by the end of June.
