The Blacksand Cafe Wednesday knitters made sure that Saturday’s St John fundraiser in Bow Street got off to a good start. The knitters had created a rug which they then raffled with the proceeds being donated to Raglan St Johns. The knitters donated $335 to Raglan St John. The St John Area Executive officer drew the raffle winner who was Luise Eisenbaum.
The Raglan St John fundraiser is part of the week-long annual charitable appeal for St John. The St John people are in reflective yellow with flashing red lights on! In Raglan the appeal base was outside the Raglan Club where St Johns had an old-time Dodge ambulance on display coupled with a sausage sizzle.
