Jul 6: Unsung Heroes in Raglan

140702UnsungHeroesCameron Bennett, Nigel Gavin and Chris Priestley will be playing in Raglan on Sunday 6th July presenting an evening of heritage songs of unsung heroes and the occasional villain. From Huria Matenga to Von Tempsky and Kimble Bent, Captains Moonlight and Lorraine, and Little Biddy of the Buller – the songs are about New Zealand’s intriguing unsung heroes.

Door, yummy food and bar open from 7.00pm with music from 7.30pm at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre in Stewart St. $10 at the door.

Chris Thompson says, “Chris Priestley is a good old friend and a major dude in the Auckland (and National) Acoustic music scene. His music is sophisticated and urbane and he always creates a pleasant ambience with his very tuneful and understated delivery.At his concert at The Raglan Old School Arts Centre on Sunday July 6th,he will be joined by master session guitarist Nigel Gavin, and musician (and television personality) Cameron Bennett.”
