A quick trip down country allowed NZ Herald reporter Alexia Santamaria a break from two little boys and plenty of chances to indulge her feminine side. Leaving Auckland on Saturday she stopped first in Mercer and Te Kauwhata before staying the night at Foxgloves B & B near Waingaro.
On Sunday she continued onto Raglan where she discovered the Raglan Creative Market where there was plenty of pottering about to be had (and mussel chowder and homemade elderflower cordial to boot).
And then it was onto Raglan Roast for some great coffee.
