When Raglan’s post office boxes were moved in February from the old Bow St postshop to an exterior wall of the SuperValue, box holders found that their mail was wet when it rained. After complaints the SuperValue started putting the mail in plastic bags when it rained. That provided a temporary solution to the wet mail problem.

Last week a more permanent solution was provided in the form of an aluminim window lean-to unit in front of the postal boxes. That’s good- now the mail will be dry.

Richard Jacobsen, owner/operator of the Raglan told Raglan 23that the SuperValue will also be moving the ‘postshop’ to a more suitable place. That’ll be good as we have heard many grumbles about the current location of the ‘postshop’. Looks as if it will be going where the hardware is now from the Kiwibank green on the walls of hardware section. Will there still be room for a hardware section?
