Items from the Waikato District Council Community Services Committee agenda –

Raglan Skate Park

The final design has been costed and agreed. Work is expected to start in October depending on the weather.

Ebench

During a recent energy audit of Council’s facilities it became apparent that there was a need for an energy management tool for Council. This is so staff have the ability to monitor and trend energy usage with the ability to target areas of high usage or energy spikes. This will give result in the ultimate goal of reduced energy costs.

Two proposals have been received. The successful supplier was Energy and Technical Services with their product Ebench. Ebench is a web based tool and can monitor and provide reports for Energy (Gas & Power), Utilities (water & vehicles) and Carbon Emissions. Another service provided is invoice analysis – this will identify when we are charged the incorrect tariff or if there is a meter fault. (Attached is and example of the type of reports Ebench can produce.)
