Community Board members missing again

Lonely trio wait for other Community Board members to arrive

The Raglan Community Board meeting failed again for the second time in six months.  At the meeting held on Tuesday 10th August, only Clint Baddeley, Peter Storey and Sarah Harihari were present.   Two of the missing people had tendered their apologies, leaving another member absent without leave. There were ten people in the audience.

The forum discussed the usual topics of rubbish and dogs and a few other more interesting topics.   When the due time for the meeting proper arrived, numbers swelled with the arrival of five Council staff numbers, but still no more Community Board members arrived, so the meeting lapsed. Mayor Harris showed up a few minutes late.

An informal discussion followed on Council’s works programme and then two Council Planners said that everybody in Raglan is wrong and Council is right about the proposed Structure Plan.  They said that anybody can lodge a submission about proposing anything for Raglan and then continue with submissions in the various appeal processes.

Council staff swell numbers but still no quorum
