Busy first day for new Raglan Four Square

At times shoppers found it hard to get parking space today at the Raglan’s new Four Square. There was a steady stream of people visiting the store to try it out on the first day it was open. Shoppers reported a neat and tidy shop stocking some lines previously not available in Raglan such as cornflour and Watties baby peas. And there seems to be room on the shelves for more variety. There were some teething issues at the Raglan 4 Square with some items not yet in the scanning computer.

Well done keep it up.

  1. I enjoyed my shopping there today – spacious, wide aisles and low shelves, no lotto and alcohol at the checkout, fruit and vegetables had an appearance of less packaging – if this Raglan 4Square took it upon themselves to enter the spirit of plastic free July and supply paper shopping bags at no extra cost to the consumer the community will be behind them.

    1. I was surprised to hear that they were using plastic bags, especially when plastic free July had just started. It would have been a good way for them to connect with the Raglan soul if they had started with paper or gave away some reusuable bags…
