Waikato District Council advises that Raglan’s one-way bridge on Wainui Road across the Opotoru Estuary will be closed on the 27th August to allow new ducts for EHV power cables to be installed.

Detour/Traffic Management
There will be staged openings to let traffic through for a few minutes every hour on the hour during this time.
If needed, priority will be given to emergency services who will be allowed through at any time – although it will take a few minutes to clear equipment off the bridge.
