Shortly after 1pm on Wednesday 8th August, Raglan Rescue services were called out to a vehicle accident involving a VW car. A car had plunged 65 metres down a steep bank on Old Mountain Road. Fortunately the car’s driver, Gary Baker and his friend Cory Tipene, from the Auckland suburb of Meadowbank, were unharmed.
The pair was travelling from Hamilton to Raglan on the gravel road. The car remains stuck in the trees off Old Mountain Rd, east of Waitetuna.
