On behalf of NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA), Fulton Hogan is rebuilding part of State Highway 23 (SH23) near Greenslade Road, Raglan.
Fulton Hogan said, “We’ll remove and rebuild the existing road layers to create a stronger road surface. Once the rebuild is complete, we’ll sweep the road and apply new line marking.
We’ll complete the work in 2 stages:
Stage 1: Shoulder and drainage work
Shoulder and drainage work commences Monday 5 October and is expected to take about 5 weeks. We’ll carry out shoulder and drainage work between 8:30am and 5pm each day. Stop/go traffic management will operate during work hours and may also be required overnight.
Stage 2: Road rebuild
Road rebuild work commences Monday 9 November to Friday 4 December. We’ll rebuild the road from Monday 9 November and we expect to finish by 5pm on Friday 4 December. Stop/go traffic management will operate 24 hours a day.
How the work will affect you
Allow up to 10 minutes extra for your journey through the site.
A temporary speed limit of 30km/h will remain in place during and outside work hours.
Follow the directions of roadworkers and traffic management staff.
You may notice noise, dust, heavy machinery and hot materials while we work. We’ll work to reduce disruption and complete the rebuild as quickly as possible.
Property access
