Nominations open in just under two weeks on 19 July for the 2013 local body elections in October. The areas covered for both the Raglan Ward and the Raglan Community Board have increased since the last election with ward taking in Waitetuna and the western side of the divvy.  In its normal quirky manner, the Waikato District Council has set a different boundary for the Raglan Community Board which now includes part but not all of Te Uku.

Nominations will also be open for the Mayor of Waikato District, the Waikato District Health Board and for ward councillor positions on the Waikato Regional Council.

Nominations for all positions close on at Noon on Friday 16 August 2013. Further information is available on the WDC website.
