After saying that they didn’t seem to have many submissions to their Long Term Plan, Waikato District Council has now worked out why they had few submissions.
They have sent the following email out today:

Good afternoon
As you will be aware submissions to our 2012-2022 Long Term Plan closed on Wednesday 9 May. It has been brought to our attention that our firewall stopped some of the Long Term Plan submissions filtering through to the corporate planning email address.
Technically we have received your submission within the specified time frame, unfortunately we are unable to open these items. Please could you resend your submission to the same email address: corporateplanning@waidc.govt.nz and please call me if you would like to be heard, if I don’t hear from you I have assumed you do not wish to be heard.
Please note that the Long Term Plan hearings commence on Monday 21 May and your early response will be appreciated.
