Consultations are free of charge although eligibility is dependent on income level. Drop In Lounge
There is a warm and welcoming Drop In Lounge at Raglan Community House staffed by Volunteer Hosts. Any member of the community (or any visitor) is welcome to call into the House for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. We also have magazines to browse or buy and books for sale ($1.00 hard back/.50c soft back) so call in anytime Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm to see us. We are sometimes told that people don’t want to come in because they think we are having a meeting. If you see folk sitting around the table in the Lounge you can guarantee that they are just enjoying a cup of tea or their lunch so please come in and join us!
A Hearing Therapist, contracted to the charitable trust Life Unlimited, visits Raglan Community House on the first Monday of every month to provide free hearing therapy services to people aged 16years and over. The Therapist offers independent advice on pathways available to assist with hearing loss including access to personal listening devices and amplified telephones. They offer practical advice and management of tinnitis and can help with ACC or War Pension claims. Bookings are essential. Phone Raglan Community House on 8258142 to make an appointment for the next scheduled visit.
